River Description:

The Eagle River relies 100% on snow melt for its season so book for May - early July. Upper Eagle: Class III-V. This exciting trip includes the legendary Dowd Chute Class IV-V rapid and 10 miles of exhiliarating Class III-IV rapids. Start your trip just outside Vail in the town of Minturn. The Lower starts in Edwards just down the valley. Lower Eagle: The mellow float trip after the Upper excitement. Some thrilling rapids, but the river has mostly calmed down to rippling waters allowing you to enjoy the scenery.
