River Description:

Nicknamed the "Grand Canyon of Colorado", here the Arkansas River flows through the 1,100 ft. deep Royal Gorge. This is one of Colorado's most exciting whitewater adventures. Class IV-V rapids include Sunshine Falls, Sledgehammer, Wall Slammer, Boat Eater and Corner Pocket. In between, you can take in the stunning beauty of the towering thousand-foot canyon walls. The trip takes you under the world's highest suspension bridge. The Royal Gorge is recommended only for experienced paddlers who know how to swim.
